Reviewing Books

This is a rather challenging exercise for a writer and I’m currently doing it for only the third time. My second  attempt ‘Eton Mess’ appeared in the Quarterly Review a couple of months ago. It’s a book about the British ‘public’ school system. I didn’t find it too hard a job since we’ve all been through the education system to a greater or lesser extent. I’m now reading Brit(ish) by Afua Hirsch a book about race and identity. This is likely to be a far more challenging task. Fortunately she writes very well!
